October 4, 2013 Another Pirate Fest for Olde Savannah Rum Cakes! We had a great time and off-loaded a ton of golden booty from our holds. We even had some sea-faring lasses pay us a visit! We also introduced our Rum Cake Coffee which was a big hit.
September 28, 2012 As hard as it may be to believe, you can only drink so much rum... well that's not entirely true, but you'd be surprised how difficult it is to captain a sailing ship without something else to wash down out rum cakes. With that in mind, we have released our all new Olde Savannah Rum Cake Coffee! Roasted and packaged for us by Savannah Coffee Roasters, this gourmet coffee is the perfect blend of spiced rum and hazelnut flavors makes this coffee the perfect companion to our rum cakes. Available in 2 ounce and 11 ounce packages. Available now in our Online Store.
June 15, 2012 Well, the Captain has been in the chart room all night with a barrel of grog. He finally came on deck at noon and announced to the crew that in addition to our regularly smuggled cargo, we would be picking up a haul of cocoa, bananas, coconuts and other tropical fruits. The first mate and I agree that this can only mean one thing... new rum cake flavors!
That's right, coming soon to our manifest are Coconut, Pina Colada, Banana and Chcolate Rum Cakes.
If that weren't enough to shiver your timbers, we'll also be cooking up a Diabetic Rum Cake, 'cause the Captain he doesn't want to leave anyone high and dry!
May 3, 2012: Olde Savannah Rum Cakes was proud to host a booth at the annual Savannah Tall Ship Challenge®.
Visitors to this event were treated to a unique opportunity to tour the historic Savannah Riverfront, board magnificantly restored a crewed tall ships and get a taste of pirate rum in a delectably sweet golden morsel from Olde Savannah Rum Cakes.
February 17, 2012: Olde Savannah Rum Cakes is chosen as a finalist in this year's Flavor of Georgia culinary products competition which is sponsored by the University of Georgia's Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development.
While hundreds of products were submitted for consideration, only 26 finalists across 7 categories made the final cut.
Says Ricky Barrow of Olde Savannah Rum Cakes, "We were really pleased to even make it into the running, but to actually get to the finals in our first few months in business really shows how great a product we have."
